William F. Williams is an associate scientist and level III physicist at AREVA Federal Services, LLC, and a recently named Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year in Nuclear Research. He is highly regarded in his field for his extensive knowledge of gamma spectroscopy, which involves the detection and measurement of radionuclides.

Mr. Williams currently aids the nuclear research center in its mission to provide nuclear engineering services, including reactor platforms and closed nuclear fuel cycle technology. A long-time science aficionado, he operates analytical equipment to measure radioactivity and the outcome of waste analysis. The data that he gathers is then compiled into reports that are submitted to clients.

In 1986, Mr. Williams became a certified analytical laboratory technician. Throughout his more than 20-year long career, he has demonstrated dedicated service to his profession and a penchant for cultivating and expanding his skill set as required to advance in the field. His designation enables him to achieve professional longevity in the field, and in the near future, he intends to progress in his scientific studies.

Ever the determined expert, he feels that the high level of success he has garnered has been a result of his education and persistence. He was named to the National Dean’s List in 2002, and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
