Diamond Anthony Omene, an exploration geologist at Shell International Exploration and Production, was recently named Professional of the Year in Petroleum Geology and Exploration by Cambridge Who’s Who for showcasing first-rate skilmanship in the management of data and potential projects. Mr. Omene is considered a prominent member in geological communities throughout Africa and the United States due to his numerous contributions to the industry.

Mr. Omene upholds a fervent commitment to ensuring the oil, gas and petroleum company attains success. His contributions to Shell International Exploration and Production are critical as they development and manufacturing oil and gas, bitumen, lubricants and fuels for various industrial and commercial applications. Primarily, he makes prompt decisions regarding oil and gas exploration and production at the company’s site in South Texas. Utilizing his training and expertise, he has a strong ability to determine the location of oil reservoirs that are appropriate for well drilling. After the production structure and its distinguishing traits are established, he appraises the extent of the configuration; he also analyzes the value and sufficiency of the fuel produced.

Mr. Omene’s pursuit of a successful career in the field has been unfaltering since day one, when he entered school. In 1990, he honed his expertise by earning a bachelor of science in geology from Ogun State University in Nigeria. He also received a master of business administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Omene is a proud member of several industry-related organizations, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists. Furthermore, he likes to swim, cycle and travel.
