Michael Tasevoli, an aerospace systems designer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and a Cambridge Who’s Who VIP member, is a distinghished force in his field for demonstrating extraordinary engineering services. The award-winning professional has applied his talents and strong interest in aerospace exploration, space and earth science, and electronics to develop innovative flight systems – a duty he feels is one of the most rewarding and gratifying in his life to perform.
An early fascination with science and aerospace led Mr. Tasevoli into the industry, and since attaining a position within the field, he has continued to build on his interest through research and his pursuit of professional growth. He has provided exemplary work for NASA for more than 30 years. He is primarily responsible for engineering space-flight hardware and launching research satellites. In 1992, he composed a written piece on a development test flight (DTF-1) mission, which illustrated the system design, safety requirements and security features of a large-scale space operation. The objective of the DTF-1 was to evaluate and expound on the ramifications and larger implications related to man-machine performance, flight telerobotic service manipulator arrangement and workstation design. In 1999, his profound knowledge of aerospace exploration and engineering helped him earn a medal for exceptional service.
Mr. Tasevoli feels his success stems from the support he received from his parents, and his persistence and education. He earned a master’s degree in aerospace from Catholic University, and a certification in waste water treatment.
