Louis Schorr Executive Chef and Chief Executive Officer Louis Schorr was named Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year in Culinary Arts for his exemplary leadership and excellence in the culinary arts with a focus on media programming, food product exhibition and sales. As a well-known media personality, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to enriching others in his affiliation with quality programming for Ion Television. He is also a celebrated public speaker and food product demonstrator.

Mr. Schorr currently sells products on QVC, lectures to small groups and at vocational schools in Boston, and hosts a radio show. Prior to his current position, Mr. Schorr served in a management capacity at Friendly Ice Cream Corporation and as the regional manager for the RadioShack Corporation. His exceptional work led to his being offered a position as a demonstrator for Berndes, a cookware firm.

He entered the culinary arts industry by following the career path of his mother, the celebrated chef Denise Khaitmann Schorr. As a child, Mr. Schorr assisted her mother during culinary classes and catering jobs. The exposure made him increasingly proficient in the fundamentals of cooking and he developed a strong interest in the field. This inspiration prompted him to work locally at restaurants and pursue a degree in culinary arts at La Varenne in Paris, France.

Mr. Schorr received a warm reception in the industry and experienced great success, leading to a sustained progression of opportunities. He became employed by companies including All-Clad Mealcrafters, LLC, Viking Range Corporation, Girimi and Williams-Sonoma, Inc. He credits his success to his ever-increasing number of valued supporters in the culinary community and is proud to emphasize the quality of products that he currently endorses as an independent entity. Additionally, he promises his esteemed network of supporters that he will not represent products that he cannot personally endorse.

Mr. Schorr is a member of The Culinary Guild of New England and also serves as a board member for The American Institute of Wine & Food. He has served as the Guild’s first and only corporate membership chair since 1997.

Louis Schorr was selected as a Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year in the Culinary Arts industry in March 2009.
