Francisco Sanchez, a VIP member of Cambridge Who’s Who, is being commended for implementing changes that have wrought positive outcomes for his local school district, as principal of
The High School for Contemporary Arts in the Bronx. His commitment to ensuring and maintaining strong academic achievement has helped students to achieve remarkable improvement in attendance and English test scores by a staggering 92 percent.
Mr. Sanchez is enthusiastic about representing and promoting constructive and practical values to students. He maintains a steadfast pledge to implement valuable teaching practices, which have improved academic standards considerably. By consistently educating and instilling positive attitudes in impressionable young adults, he has also become a recognizable force in the community against gang violence.
As principal of the arts-focused high school, Mr. Sanchez manages with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, addressing a faculty that consists of teachers, school aides, secretaries and bus drivers. His diligence is appreciated by the other staff on his school grounds, as he strives toward providing a safe, accommodating, organized and enriching environment for students. Mr. Sanchez is also renowned as an international public speaker and first-rate motivational speaker.
A member of the
Association of Dominican-American Supervisors and Administrators and the local Building School Committee, Mr. Sanchez is passionate about utilizing his administrative role to set higher standards in the field of education. Having received a master’s degree in bilingual and special education from Adelphi University in 1995, and a master’s degree in district administration and supervision from
Long Island University C.W. Post Campus in 1998, he is well versed in many aspects of education. Mr. Sanchez also earned a bachelor’s degree from York College in 1993 and an associate degree from Hofstra University in 1990.
