Dr. Higley has accumulated over 20 years of professional experience in her field, and is well-cultured having earned a post-doctorate in toxicology from the Food Research Institute at the University of Wisconsin. She also received a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire in 1978, and a bachelor of science in biology from SUNY Fredonia in 1974. She credits her success to her ability to integrate her past experiences and vast knowledge of biology, biochemistry and toxicology, and apply them to current situations. Aside from her passionate pursuit of professional growth, Dr. Higley enjoys reading the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry and the Journal of the American Chemical Society, and working on chemistry and food technology.
