Cambridge Who's Who Lifetime Member Juan C. Acosta is the vice president and chief financial officer for MTV Networks Latin America. He is responsible for supervising both short- and long-term financial functions. Additionally, he provides advice and guidance on all financial operations and relevant strategic matters. Acosta presides over the compliance, treasury, billing, collections and disbursement departments for MTV and its sister companies VH1 and Nickelodeon Latin America. His expertise is in accounting, finance, treasury and tax reporting, coordinating annual budgets, researching investment and financial options and conducting internal audits.

Prior to his role as vice president and chief financial officer for MTV Networks Latin America, Acosta served as the director of finance for the NBC Universal/Telemundo Network Group, a U.S. Spanish-language television network. There, he conducted financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as SOX compliance for TLMD Network/Studios Programming. Acosta has also worked in various positions for media companies including The Walt Disney Company and MGM Studios in California.

Acosta is a certified public accountant. He is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2005, Acosta earned a master of business administration from Florida International University. In 2001, he received his bachelor's degree in accounting.

Presently operating out of Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Miami and São Paulo, MTV Networks Latin America is Viacom's Latino subsidiary company and part of MTV Networks International. The media brand holds interests in television syndication, digital media, publishing, home video, radio, recorded music, licensing and merchandising, and two feature films divisions - MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies. MTV Networks Latin America channels consist of MTV Latin America, VH1 Latin America, VH1 Brazil, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite and Nick Jr. Latin America.
