David M. Arneson, Ed.D. is the chairman and coordinator of student teaching at New York Institute of Technology. Due to his track record of excellence in teacher instruction, adolescent education, and educational psychology and methodology, he has become highly recognized and sought after as an expert amongst his peers.

In his current capacity, Mr. Arneson is in charge of teaching undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in adolescent education. From 1983 to 1995, he served as the editor of “Impact on Instructional Improvement,” the journal published by the New York Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. He has also been a featured speaker for the New York State Association of Teacher Educators, the National Association of Teacher Educators and the Leadership Foundation for Teacher Education. He was recently recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who as an Expert Resource in Teacher Education and Development. Additionally, from 1987 to 1999, he functioned as the editor of the “Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education.” His enthusiasm and commitment separate him from his peers; he has received numerous awards, including the Distinguished Clinician in Teacher Education Award in 1991 and the National Distinguished Award for Education. Despite his various and abundant achievements, Mr. Arneson feels that his greatest triumphs have been receiving numerous honors and awards, including the bestowment of a diamond pin to him from President George H.W. Bush in 1990.

Mr. Arneson received a doctor of education from the University of Northern Colorado, a master of arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin. He belongs to several associations, including The Association of Teacher Educators, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Executive Board of the New York Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the New York State Association for Teacher Educators and Phi Delta Kappa. Mr. Arneson feels that his success can be attributed to his commitment and the support he receives from his mentors and the people with whom he works.
